Best standup bots for Discord in 2026
Most well-known standup bots were built for Slack and Microsoft Teams, and that is still where they stop. As of 18 October 2026, Geekbot, Standuply, Range and Steady (formerly Status Hero) list Slack and Teams on their sites but not Discord. If your team works in Discord, the realistic options are a small set of bots plus a plain #standup channel. Here they are, with prices and free tiers checked on each vendor's own site.
We make Eodly, so it is first on this list. Where another option is the better fit, we say so.

1. Eodly
Eodly asks each person for an update every morning at 9:00 in their own time zone, through a DM from the bot. They answer with one slash command, /checkin, and the confirmation is visible only to them, so channels stay clean. Anyone who has not checked in gets one reminder 45 minutes before your report time. In the evening you get one report on your dashboard and by email.
What sets it apart is the report. If you connect GitHub or Linear, each update is shown next to the work behind it (the merged pull request, the moved ticket), people who worked but did not check in still count, and an update that keeps saying "almost done" while nothing moves is flagged for you to look at. The bot only needs View Channels and Send Messages, does not read your channels, and the only text it receives is what someone sends with /checkin.
- Price: Free for up to 5 people, no card. Team is $29 a month for up to 10 people.
- Best for: founders and leads of software or mixed teams who want to know what actually got done without asking.
- Less suited to: teams that want custom forms, polls or surveys. Eodly asks one update a day.
2. DailyBot
DailyBot is the one established standup vendor that lists Discord, alongside Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat. It runs check-ins, forms and surveys, and it describes itself as "one place for team updates, AI reports, and agent activity". Its connections page lists GitHub, Jira and Linear.
- Price: the free Starter plan has unlimited members but caps you at 50 compiled check-in reports per organization a month with 14 days of history and no AI summaries. Essentials is $2.40 per active user a month billed annually, or $3 monthly.
- Best for: teams that use more than one chat tool and want flexible check-ins and surveys.
- Worth knowing: reviews of DailyBot on top.gg mention hitting the free plan's 50-report cap partway through a month, so budget for the paid plan if your team checks in daily.
3. AsyncFlow
AsyncFlow is a small Discord-only bot for "async daily standups and native polls for agile Discord teams". It was in 5 servers on top.gg when we checked, and its site does not state pricing.
- Best for: a small team that wants a lightweight standup inside Discord and is comfortable with a young product.
4. Bottie
Bottie runs standups from Discord and also captures tasks and decisions, syncing them to Slack, Notion and Google Sheets. It was in 18 servers on top.gg when we checked, and pricing is not stated on its site.
- Best for: teams that want their Discord conversations turned into tasks as well as standups.
5. Open-source Discord standup bots
If you would rather host your own, the most-starred open-source Discord standup bots on GitHub are fijter/discord-standupbot (Python, last commit January 2021) and navn-r/standup-bot (JavaScript, last commit October 2021).
- Best for: developers who want full control and are happy to run and update a bot themselves.
- Worth knowing: both are several years old, so expect to update dependencies and Discord API changes yourself.
6. A plain #standup channel
For a small team that posts reliably, a #standup channel and a pinned template is enough, and you do not need a bot at all. It stops working when people forget and someone has to ping them, when the channel becomes a wall of text, or when you cannot tell whether an "almost done" update moved.
How to choose
- You only need a written standup and your team is disciplined: a
#standupchannel. - You want check-ins, forms and surveys across Discord and other chat tools: DailyBot.
- You want to know what actually got done, checked against GitHub and Linear, in one evening report: Eodly.
- You want to host it yourself: an open-source bot.
